Business Analyst for application development of finance applications

About us 

The finance system landscape in Tryg is complex, as it links to most of our business systems in the Nordic countries. As ERP system we use SAP. The SAP system is a strategically important system in Tryg and the system supports our critical business processes in relation to Finance and Procurement. Our SAP system currently consists of SAP on-premises systems, as well as SAP cloud systems, and the modules we have implemented include FI/CO, FSCD, BW, PI/PO and SAP Cloud Concur and Ariba. In addition, we are also using mainframe systems’ technology to deliver solutions for our users.

 

 

Put your capabilities to work and take responsibility

As a Business Analyst, you will be joining our Enterprise Solutions area in our Business IT and Digitalization-department (BID), in the team responsible for developing IT solutions for finance in the Nordic countries. We are currently a team of twelve people within IT focusing on Finance and HR systems together with our strategic partners.

 

This role is project-oriented, involving analysis of current setups, solution creation, detailed description, testing, and implementation of new processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

 

Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:

•Define and refine business requirements in cooperation with Product Owners

•Drive the requirement for management of functional processes, for example, facilitate workshops  and end-user training with the Product Owners

•Secure high quality in deliveries of resolution through ongoing testing activities

•Inform and communicate with Product Owner and stakeholders with a service-minded approach

•Proactively drive analysis, explore business needs and problems to continuously improve our processes both for IT and finance

•Collaborate with Product Owners, stakeholders, developers and architects, ensuring that business needs are correctly understood, developed and implemented.

 

 

About you

To be successful in the role you are analytical and structured with a great drive. In order to navigate between business, partners, and IT, strong written and spoken communication skills are necessary. It comes naturally to you to be curious, and you thrive in dialogue with many people and with demanding business needs. You are able to keep the overview while also having a keen eye for detail.

 

We imagine that you have at least a few years of work experience in a similar position. We work agile, and on a daily basis we use tools such as Jira and Confluence. It is therefore an advantage that you have knowledge of the agile methods, but we help you get started with relevant onboarding in the tools and methods.

 

We do not expect you to be a SAP expert, but it is important that you have the courage to also familiarize yourself with complex issues, as this is the starting point for being able to analyze and clarify what the business needs are in relation to IT solutions. We believe that business understanding within Finance is important to be able to facilitate and really understand the business´ needs and capabilities.
