Join Tryg’s Climate Excellence Function and help shape the future of climate resilience in insurance. We’re looking for a curious and driven analyst with strong data skills and a passion for climate adaptation. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of climate science, data, and insurance — and to contribute to building a more resilient future.
About us | A new function with a bold agenda
The Climate Excellence function was established in April within the CTO area to address the growing impact of climate change and extreme weather events on our customers and our business. Our mission is to embed climate resilience into the core of Tryg’s operations across pricing, underwriting, product development, prevention, and reassurance.
We are now forming a small, agile team to lead this transformation—and we’re looking for a Climate Excellence Analyst to help drive the climate adaptation agenda across Scandinavia.
This is a unique opportunity to help build a new function with high strategic importance. We offer:
- A collaborative and purpose-driven work environment
- Opportunities for professional growth and cross-border collaboration
- Flexible work arrangements and competitive compensation
About the job | Turn climate data into actionable insights
As Climate Excellence Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting climate adaptation initiatives across Tryg. Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing physical and transitional climate risks and translating insights into actionable recommendations for underwriting, product development, risk pricing, and prevention
- Contributing to climate adaptation-related projects, pilots, and tool development
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate climate considerations into decision-making
- Conducting research and benchmarking on climate adaptation practices and emerging trends
About you | Analytical mindset, climate data skills, and team spirit
You are analytical, curious, and motivated by purpose. You enjoy working with data and translating complex insights into practical solutions. You thrive in a collaborative, agile team environment and are eager to learn and grow.
To succeed in this role, we expect you to bring:
- A master’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in consulting, insurance, or data analytics
- Familiarity with climate data sources and scenario frameworks (e.g., IPCC, NGFS)
- Knowledge of tools like Python, R, GIS, or Power BI
- You will be based in either Ballerup or Malmö, depending on your place of residence. Some travel between locations is expected (approx. 4–5 days per month).
Join the journey!
Please send your application as soon as possible, but no later than November 4th, 2025. We will conduct interviews during November and close the recruitment process once we find the right candidate.
