About the job | Financial reporting, RTR expertise & process optimization
As our new Financial Controller, you will act as a subject matter expert within Record-to-Report (RTR), ensuring high-quality financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient processes. You will work closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider organization, contributing to both daily operations and strategic improvements.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Owning accounting and financial reporting processes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Preparing and reviewing complex journal entries to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Overseeing critical month-end activities such as reconciliations and internal controls
- Delivering high-quality audit material and coordinating with internal and external auditors
- Ensuring strong internal controls and continuously improving their effectiveness
- Driving process optimization, automation, and Nordic harmonization initiatives
- Acting as SME on RTR processes and broader accounting topics
- Supporting system implementations, transitions, and process improvements
- Providing clear financial insights and guidance to non-finance stakeholders
- Conducting complex ad hoc analyses supporting reporting and decision-making
In this role, you will have a significant impact on how we develop and scale our financial processes across countries, while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
About you | Strong accounting foundation & structured mindset
We are looking for a structured and proactive professional who combines deep technical expertise with a continuous improvement mindset. To succeed in the role, you are comfortable working independently, communicating complex topics clearly, and challenging existing processes constructively.
Must-have qualifications:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
- Big 4 audit background with 3–5 years of experience
- Solid experience within RTR, accounting, or financial controlling
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with SAP
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems
- Structured, detail-oriented, and able to consistently meet deadlines
Nice-to-have qualifications such as an ACCA or similar certification, experience with process improvements and automation, training or knowledge sharing, as well as additional Nordic language skills will be considered an advantage. Most importantly, you bring integrity, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset and you enjoy translating complex accounting topics into clear, value-adding insights across the organization.
