As Head of the FinanceEx Data Domain, you will take on a pivotal leadership role, driving value creation from financial data by aligning strategic business priorities with effective engineering execution. You will oversee the development of next-generation financial data products designed for scale, speed, and reusability, supported by strong domain governance and clear, forward-looking leadership that enable Tryg’s ambition to deliver industry-leading financial reporting.
Overall, by enabling scale, speed, and reuse, this role offers broad exposure to key leadership disciplines at the intersection of data and finance, along with the opportunity to shape and advance Tryg’s strategic data agenda.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure customer centricity and value creation from financial data through leadership and collaboration with the CFO organization
- Form a strong data strategy and execution plan together with the rest of the Chief Data Officer (CDO) management team
- Lead a large domain organization through leaders, including building leadership capacity
- Ensure transparency and success of high-stakes projects
- Bridge business goals and finance data delivery by building close relationships with key stakeholders within BID (Business IT and Digitalization) and the CFO area
- Represent the domain to CFO leadership and senior stakeholders, providing transparency in decisions and progress
- Ensure delivery of critical financial data products, including predictability, data quality, lineage, and auditability
- Enable timely delivery of month-end closing data
- Ensure stability and delivery of existing Financial Data Warehouse (DWH) solutions
- Establish clear ownership across core finance, regulatory, and analytical data
- Ensure compliance with IFRS17, Solvency II, audit, and data governance requirements

Requirements:
- Proven experience leading large, technical organizations with the ability to build and develop a high-skilled management team
- A collaborative, structured, and decisive leadership style, capable of creating transparency and strategic direction in a complex and regulated domain
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate clearly with senior management, both technical and non-technical
- Solid understanding of the data domain
- Solid understanding of the insurance finance domain
- Fluency in both a Scandinavian language and English
Your experience and grounded nature enable you to provide candid sparring and decision-making with the data management team. You possess sound business judgment and the ability to make data-driven decisions that align with organizational goals.
Location: Stockholm, Malmö, Bergen, or Copenhagen. The role involves Nordic collaboration, including occasional travel to other offices.

You will join a newly established data management team reporting to Tryg’s new Chief Data Officer, Jonas Linnebjerg, who will start on the 1st of April. Together, you will set the strategic agenda to ensure meaningful value creation from data.
You will lead our newly established FinanceEx Data Domain, consisting of approximately 50 colleagues, including experienced leaders and skilled data engineers. The overall purpose of the FinanceEx Data Domain is to own and ensure delivery of trusted, compliant, and decision-ready financial data products across the Group.
