About the job | End‑to‑end M&A responsibility

As an M&A Consultant, you will play a central role in advancing Tryg’s M&A agenda across markets. You will work closely with our executive management and business units, contributing throughout the entire deal lifecycle.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Supporting M&A processes from idea generation to closing and integration
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to executive management and business units
  • Conducting analyses and preparing decision materials for senior stakeholders
  • Navigating stakeholders and supporting alignment across the organization

In this role, you will help shape strategic decisions and contribute directly to Tryg’s long‑term growth. You will join a team that values integrity, high standards, structured problem‑solving, and strong collaboration.

About you | Analytical, collaborative, and proactive

To succeed in this position, you bring strong analytical capabilities, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. You enjoy taking responsibility and contributing to a positive team culture.

We expect that you have (critical):

  • Minimum 1 year of M&A experience, ideally from an investment bank; alternatively, from transaction services, consulting, or an in‑house M&A team
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; a Master's-level academic degree, MBA, or similar is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with financial modelling and strategic problem‑solving
  • The ability to collaborate across functions and navigate complex processes
  • A team‑oriented mindset and motivation to contribute to a strong social and professional environment
  • Fluency in one of the Scandinavian languages and in English, both written and spoken

It is an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience working and communicating with senior stakeholders

You are someone who values high‑quality output, enjoys working in a fast‑paced setting, and is motivated by contributing to impactful strategic initiatives.

About us | High‑performing team with strong unity

You will join Group M&A, a small and ambitious team of three colleagues with backgrounds from leading investment banks and approximately 25 years of combined M&A experience. We work closely with our executive board and business units to advise on M&A matters and drive processes end‑to‑end.

We pride ourselves on high professional standards, strong collaboration, and a supportive team culture. While we take our work seriously, we also value having fun together and maintaining a strong social unity. Group M&A is part of Group Strategic Development, which includes Group Strategy, Group M&A, Group Commercial Excellence, and Executive Office - an environment characterized by top‑tier consultancy and investment banking experience.
