About the job | Process Excellence Manager

You will act as a subject matter expert on Tryg Accounting’s process landscape, where you design, optimize, automate, and implement efficient accounting processes. Additionally, you will provide best practice guidance on processes and compliance, as well as deliver technical oversight for the automation of financial workflows and technology-driven internal controls. In doing so, you will help meet efficiency and performance targets while mitigating financial risk for the company.

 

You will play a key role in continuous improvement by building standardized and future-proof Scandinavian accounting processes and validating updated process documentation within Tryg Finance. Also, you will contribute to coordinating and delivering on internal and external audit requests within the Group Accounting team when needed.

 

As Process Excellence Manager, you will:

  • Drive standardization, automation, and improvement of Tryg’s accounting processes,  documentation, and reporting processes in accordance with Group Accounting’s roadmap and priorities in support of the Finance Strategy 2029
  • Set up measurement, monitoring, and reporting on accounting process and systems performance, and provide insights and suggestions for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of accounting processes in Tryg
  • Collaborate with stakeholders within and outside of Group Finance to address issues and discrepancies
  • Design, evaluate, and improve governance structures, segregation of duties, process performance, and internal control design and execution across financial and operational processes and across internal and external accounting teams
  • Actively contribute to driving process effectiveness and automation across Tryg in close coordination with key stakeholders and SME across Group Accounting and beyond
  • Proactively keeping up with financial policies, regulations, and legislation for the area of responsibility
  • Understanding how one's own area of responsibility ties together with the rest of the organization

 

The position is based at Tryg’s headquarters in Ballerup, and you will report to the Director of Finance Process Management in Group Accounting.

 

About you | Audit background, compliance expertise & strong collaboration skills

To be a success in this role, you have a cand. merc. in Auditing, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent, as well as a minimum of 3 years’ experience within audit from a Big4 audit company. Experience from working with external or captive shared services set-ups is an advantage.

 

We imagine that you have:

  • Strong knowledge of compliance principles and accounting processes
  • A structured approach and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the Nordic organization
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively explain accounting principles to non-finance colleagues
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and documented process improvement experience
  • Good command of spoken and written English as well as a Scandinavian language
  • Advanced MS Excel and PPT knowledge

The position Process Excellence Manager is placed within Group Accounting. Group Accounting is responsible for Operational Accounting within OTC, PTP, and RTR Finance, as well as for Reassurance Administration across the Scandinavian business units in Tryg. We are close to 100 colleagues in Ballerup, Stockholm, Bergen, and Delhi where our external shared services team resides.
