About the Job | Creating World-Class Digital Claims Solutions
In Nordic Digital Claims, we are dedicated to developing world-class solutions for digital claims handling. This enables our colleagues to support Tryg’s customers more efficiently by digitalizing and automating a large share of reported claims, allowing more time for complex cases and better customer service.
As a Solution Architect, you will work with several agile development teams to ensure that system solutions meet business needs and align with Tryg’s guidelines and best practices. You will be part of a team of experienced and highly engaged fellow architects, DevSecOps engineers and test and release managers working in an environment that fosters discussion, joy and support.
Your core tasks will include:
- Collaborating closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications and scalable solution designs
- Driving solution design hands-on together with development teams, while providing technical guidance, coaching, and supporting teams with refinement
- Ensuring that the architecture supports scalability, security, performance, and alignment with cloud and enterprise standards
- Defining and governing integration patterns across Guidewire and surrounding systems
- Supporting teams in breaking down features into deliverable, testable increments and ensuring alignment from concept to implementation
- Contributing to and maintaining the architectural runway and target architecture, supporting future delivery
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of architectural decisions, system designs, and integration strategies
- Communicating domain direction and ensuring transparency

About You | Bringing Development, Operation and Business Closer Together
We are open to candidates with diverse backgrounds, and we expect you to have in-depth knowledge of architecture and technical problem-solving. Business understanding and empathy are essential to bridge development, operation, security, and business.
We work in diverse and multicultural teams, with both in-house and offshore members. Therefore, a natural interest for cultural differences and strong communication skills in English are prerequisites for succeeding in the role. As a person you are eager to learn, easy and pleasant to work with and are genuinely interested in helping others succeed.
You have probably worked as Lead Developer or Solution Architect in a larger international organization and thus have developer and architecture experience. Experience that you apply when creating reversible designs and when reducing complexity. You have a strong Java developer background, a sincere interest in creating quality solutions and can identify remedies to address technical debt.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Experience with high-level solutioning on Guidewire Cloud, including ClaimCenter and its surrounding system landscape (e.g., Integration Gateway, Jutro, Autopilot, Cloud API)
- Deep understanding of Guidewire architecture, configuration, and integration patterns (APIs, messaging, data flows), including enterprise and third-party integrations
- Ability to translate business and customer needs into scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-ready solutions
- Hands-on mindset: comfortable designing, coding, and guiding teams toward optimal solutions aligned with cloud standards
- Ability to break down features into deliverable, testable increments in close collaboration with business, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
- Experience contributing to and maintaining an architectural runway / target architecture
- Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and domain architects
- Solid software engineering foundation (e.g., Java/Gosu, system design, architecture principles)
- A structured and proactive approach, with the ability to make independent decisions
- A curious and committed mindset, with motivation to continuously learn and stay up to date
It will help in your daily work if you have knowledge with:
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure, including cloud-native and integration patterns
- Guidewire certifications (Associate, Specialist, or Ace)
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud and upgrade-safe configuration practices
- Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD, automation, containerization) in Guidewire contexts
- Background in insurance (P&C domain) and claims processes
- Experience with microservices or API-first architecture in enterprise environments
- Knowledge of React and CEAMP
