Trygg-Hansa Affinity is a division of the leading insurance group in the Nordics - Tryg. Affinity focus on add-on insurances to our partners’ core products e.g. Consumer Devices, Cancellation, ID Protection and other insurance categories with distribution partners across Northern Europe.
The position
Affinity is transitioning its core system to Guidewire Cloud Insurance Suite and is seeking 2 software developers to join this transformation. As a core system developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain our core system. You will be part of an agile team of Software Developers and System Business Developers.
In this position you will:
- customize and configure Guidewire Insurance Suite to meet business requirements, such as integrating with ecosystem legacy systems and ensuring data consistency.
- troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues and challenges.
- participate in the full software development life cycle, from planning and design to development, testing, and deployment.
- stay up to date with industry best practices and trends related to Guidewire development, and apply this knowledge to overcome challenges such as implementing new features and maintaining system security and compliance.
The role is placed in our modern and centrally located Stockholm office and permanent work permit in Sweden is required. Your profile
To thrive in this role, we are looking for a motivated and curious IT professional who is keen to learn and willing to contribute to a commercially oriented IT team. The ideal candidate will have experience from the Insurance sector and Guidewire development, but it is not a requirement. You should possess proficient analytical and problem-solving skills and be capable of managing tasks on your own and collaboratively within a team.
For this role, we envision that you possess:
- bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- strong programming skills in Java or Gosu
- experience in Integrating applications by using REST API/WebServices (SOAP)
- experience in version control tool like GIT and BitBucket
- interest for Guidewire cloud solutions
- ability to think critically and a motivation to develop new skills
