This role is a key driver of standardization, automation, and performance improvements across our payment landscape, with a strong focus on governance, scalability, and financial control in a large international organization.

About the job | Driving payment process excellence and transformation

As a Payment Process Excellence Manager, you will act as a subject matter expert within Tryg Group Accounting and play a key role in designing, standardizing, and optimizing accounting and payment processes across the organization.

You will be responsible for building scalable and compliant payment and bank connectivity processes while strengthening governance, performance monitoring, and documentation standards. Working closely with stakeholders across Group Finance and beyond, you will contribute to improving efficiency, transparency, and risk mitigation across financial operations.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Driving standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of payment and bank connectivity processes in line with Finance Strategy 2029
  • Establishing performance measurement and reporting, providing insights to improve efficiency, controls, and scalability
  • Designing and improving governance structures, including segregation of duties and internal controls across financial processes
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to resolve issues and ensure alignment
  • Ensuring robust, compliant, and uptodate process documentation and staying current on relevant regulations

In this role, you will contribute directly to building a harmonized and futureproof Scandinavian payment setup across Tryg.

About you | Structured, analytical, and processdriven

You bring a strong academic background within accounting or auditing combined with handson experience in process excellence and financial process optimization in a large international environment.

We expect that you have:

  • A cand.merc. in Auditing, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent (e.g. ACCA or Chartered Accountant certification)
  • 3–6 years of experience within process excellence, including standardization, automation, and continuous improvement
  • 1–3 years of experience from roles such as Finance Project Manager, Process Excellence Specialist, or Financial Controller in a large international organization or corporate environment
  • Strong experience with SAP (e.g. SAP FI) and payment processes, including workflows, integrations, and financial controls
  • Strong knowledge of payment and bank connectivity processes, accounting principles, and compliance frameworks

You are structured, proactive, and able to operate independently while collaborating effectively across multiple stakeholders. You communicate clearly and can translate complex financial concepts into understandable insights for nonfinance stakeholders. Experience with shared service center setups and Nordic languages are considered an advantage.

About us | Process excellence at the core of Finance transformation

You will join Finance Process Management within Group Accounting and report to the Director of Finance Process Management. The team plays a central role in driving Tryg’s finance transformation agenda, ensuring efficient, standardized, and scalable processes across the organization.

We offer a collaborative and professional environment where you will work closely with engaged stakeholders and have a direct impact on strengthening financial processes and controls across Tryg.
