Risk Management in Tryg | A team with multiple stakeholders in the business

The position as Risk Manager is placed within the Risk Management Function. Following the acquisition of Trygg-Hansa and Codan Norway, our focus is to further align ways of working and risk management methodology within Tryg.

 

The risk management methodology in Tryg spans multiple risk categories and is subject to regulatory requirements. A key task for the Risk Management Function is to set forth Tryg-specific requirements for risk management ensuring regulatory compliance and compatibility with Tryg's business model and strategy.

 

About the job | Drive the refinement of the risk management process while supporting the business

Your main task in the position as second line Risk Manager is to drive and ensure the refinement of the risk management system in Tryg. This encompasses among other things:

  • Scope and implement tools for risk handling/profiling
  • Facilitate the update of Tryg's risk appetite within the different risk categories
  • Develop Tryg's policies within the area of risk management
  • Develop Tryg’s risk management framework

 

The position will also encompass the role as Risk Partner for business areas in Tryg.  As a Risk Partner you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Support business areas in risk handling and risk reporting processes
  • Challenge and support improvements to the control environment
  • Monitor handling of operational incidents
  • Manage stakeholders ensuring timely and fit-for-purpose communication
  • Execute and deliver assurance reviews according to the plan and in line with the agreed methodology

 

About you | Communication, process development, and business know-how

To succeed in the position as Risk Manager we expect you to have:

  • A relevant background in risk management preferably with insurance risk management knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing in English
  • Knowledge and experience in process development E2E
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Business knowledge of the insurance sector or other financial sectors

 

Location | Where is the role placed geographically?

As second line Risk Manager, you will be placed in either Ballerup (Denmark), Malmö (Sweden), or Bergen (Norway), depending on your country of residence. Some travel is to be expected.
