Step into a pivotal role at the forefront of Tryg’s data transformation. As Senior GRC Manager, you’ll shape governance for data, analytics, and AI across Scandinavia. Join a newly formed team where expertise, collaboration, and impact go hand in hand. If you’re ready to build structure, drive compliance, and influence strategic decisions, we would like to hear from you!
About the role | Senior GRC Manager at Data Strategy & Governance
We are building a new strategy and governance team within our Chief Data Office, and we’re looking for a Senior GRC Manager to help shape it from the ground up. If you are experienced in driving data governance projects and enjoy working with technically driven agendas, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.
As our new Senior GRC Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the future of this area within Tryg, including governance structures, compliance design, frameworks, and policies for risk management. You will engage with Tryg’s data users, experts, and senior stakeholders across Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
What we offer
- An opportunity to be a defining expert within the GRC area in a newly established team
- A culture that values continuous improvement of governance and control setups, with a strong focus on usability and creating tangible business value
- An opportunity to engage with a wide range of technical and non-technical colleagues across the entire Tryg organization
- A role in a team defined by an informal tone, openness, and a genuine emphasis on social well-being
- Key responsibilities include:
-
- Playing a central role in defining and implementing overarching GRC frameworks for data, analytics, and AI
- Translating regulatory requirements (e.g., DORA, NIS2, GDPR) into clear governance models and operational processes
- Taking ownership of and independently driving projects, including delegating tasks and offering guidance and feedback to colleagues
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, representing the GRC perspective in group-wide decisions
- Contributing to the development of a new team within the CDO organisation, shaping ways of working and long-term ambitions from the outset
About you | A team player
You bring more than five years of experience within Governance, risk management, compliance, IT governance, or information security, supported by solid knowledge of relevant regulations such as DORA, NIS2, and GDPR. Experience from the insurance sector or another highly regulated industry is an advantage.
You are confident operating in the intersection of regulation, technology, and large organisations, and you thrive when creating structure in complex environments.
You have a good understanding of IT architecture, data platforms, and system landscapes. Hands-on technical skills are not required, but the ability to navigate technical contexts is important.
You hold a great set of people skills and are comfortable engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders across the organization. Combined with a structured approach, a quality-driven mindset, and a pragmatic, solution-oriented attitude, you are a compelling communicator and natural presenter.
Fluency in Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish, along with professional-level proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is required.
