The position of second line Risk Manager is placed within the Risk Management Function. Our focus is to align ways of working and ensure that the risk management methodology is implemented throughout Tryg.
The risk management methodology at Tryg spans multiple risk categories and is subject to regulatory requirements. A key task for the Risk Management Function is to establish Tryg-specific risk management requirements, ensuring compatibility with Tryg's business model and strategy.
About the job | Drive the refinement of the risk management process while supporting the business
Your primary responsibility in the position as second-line Risk Manager is to drive and ensure the refinement of the risk management system in Tryg. This encompasses, among other things:
- Implement quantitative tools for risk management
- Facilitate the update of Tryg's risk appetite
- Develop Tryg's policies and guidelines within the area of risk management
- Conduct assurance activities ensuring that the business adheres to sound risk and control management
The position will also include serving as a Risk Partner for business areas in Tryg. As a Risk Partner, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Support business areas in risk handling and risk reporting processes
- Challenge and support improvements to the control environment
- Monitor handling of operational incidents
- Manage stakeholders, ensuring timely and fit-for-purpose communication
- Execute and deliver assurance reviews according to the plan and in line with the agreed methodology
About you | Communication, process development, and business know-how
To succeed in the position of Risk Manager, we expect you to have:
- A minimum of two years of work experience in risk management or quantitative science
- Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing in English
- Knowledge in process development E2E
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Business knowledge of the insurance sector or other financial sectors
- Are curious and eager to learn
Location | Where is the role placed geographically?
As second-line Risk Manager, you will be placed in either Ballerup, Århus (Denmark), or Malmö (Sweden), depending on your country of residence. Some travel is to be expected.
